Media arts & the environment

This summer, 10 local youth participated in an innovative EYA project, bridging environmental education and media. Instead of spending time laying on the beach all summer, the participants devoted their summer to the SUSTAIN Intensive. They learned about creating mobile apps, animations and documentaries. Through partnerships with non-profits Check Your Head, Pull Focus and Reel Youth, with funding through the Vancouver Foundation, this program gave  hands on experience in getting a message out into the world.
