Since 2007, EYA has been engaging the youth of Nairobi to help create sustainable business models based on environmentally-friendly practices. The staff have established an ongoing project called 'Up With Hope' which helps build recycling centres that enable community-based waste collectors to process and sell waste that would otherwise be burned or dumped in rivers.
